FRUIT AND VEGETABLE OF THE MONTH

As part of South Huntington's fresh fruit and vegetable initiative for the 2019-2020 school year, we will be spotlighting one fruit and vegetable per month to our students.

 They will be presented 1 day per week during the current month along with nutritional information.

Fruit and vegetables should be an important part of your daily diet.  They are naturally good and contain vitamins and minerals that can help to keep you healthy.  They can also help protect against some diseases.

 Most Americans will benefit from eating more fruit and vegetables as part of a well-balanced,regular diet and healthy, active lifestyle.  There are many varieties of fruits and vegetables available and many ways to prepare, cook and serve them.
